How will a massage benefit me?
Massage therapy has two major physical effects. First, it increases blood and lymph circulation. Second, relaxation and normalization of the soft tissue (muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments), which releases nerves compression and deeper connective tissues.
A common misconception about massage is that it’s only part of a spa day and intended for pampering yourself. While this may be true for some people, it is most frequently a tool for stress reduction and pain relief. Depending on the pressure and techniques used, massage therapy can help with many conditions!

Frequently asked questions
Can I work out on the same day I get a massage?
Yes, but to get the most benefit from your massage, it is best to work out before. Your muscles will likely be tired from the exercise but warmed up for the massage. Working out immediately after could cause strain to your body or result in your being tired and accidentally causing injury. It is best to wait 12-24 hours before exercising to let your muscles recover.
Will I be fully undressed during my massage?
You will be asked to undress to your comfort level. For many people this means removing all clothing aside from lower body underwear, however completely disrobing is completing acceptable. Our professional massage therapists have been trained to drape sheets as needed to allow for modesty while still allowing access to the parts of your body receiving massage.
Should I tip my massage therapist?
It is customary to leave an 18% – 25% gratuity. You can either hand it directly to your therapist after your massage, or ask the receptionist to ensure it is given to them.
